tivo message won't go away

I have a series 1 tivo and for the past three months I have had the message:
"31 days of Oscar sweepstakes" on my tivo central screen.

Is there anyway to remove this message?

This tivo has a network card and I can access it with a web browser and ftp.

That message is part of Teleworld advertising. You'll just have to ignore it.

It's sort of like my "It's Here - TiVo in HD" message that has been on there forever too. One time the TiVo people took an interest in the stuck messages on our Series 1 TiVos and resolved those, but they never had looked with interest again in further messages that get stuck. Just another piece that they add to the non-support of the Series 1.
