turn off go to live tv at program's end series 2

whoops... not trying to spam but posted in the wrong forum by accident before...


Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if there was a way to make it so the TiVo series 2 box doesn't dump into live tv after being left alone while watching a show.

The reason for this is I want to be able to watch my TiVo as I go to sleep but there's no sleep timer on my TV and I don't want to listen to TV noises all night (it makes me dream infomercials and I wake up wanting to sell real estate for no money down)

Any help would be much appreciated...

I'm a computer scientist so if I have to dig into the back end, I'm not opposed nor incapable of doing so given the proper instructions...

Maybe a universal remote control with macro capability to turn the TV off at a certain time. Or to take note from the other thread, tune the TiVo to a channel with no sound before watching a recording.
