Is it possible to run a tivo without a phone line!

To be truthful, I only continue my phone line so that I can run my tivo are there any alternative ways to run a tivo without the phone line?

The short answer is "maybe".

The longer explanation, or more properly the qualification of that 'maybe', is that you will need a cache-card and a cable broadband connection, through Virgin Media, for example because, of course, you need a phone line for an ADSL broadband connection :)

I believe it is also possible with a web-enabled mobile phone but have no experience of that.

Ummm sounds a bit over my head, don't have cable, but 3g tinternet connection is not a problem!
