I was thinking of getting SKY HD but also keeping my TIVO.
The question is can TIVO control one of the on-board tuners on the SKY HD box?
I seem to remember reading someone that this is possible.

thanks

It can control the picture you watch on SkyHD - it can not control a tuner as such - nor can a SkyHD user with a remote control.

I can't see how. The tuners are not under separate control of the remote, are they? The Sky box will want to use one for recording if you're playing with channels on the other. BICBW as I am Sky-free (apart from Freeview).

Sorry that confused me a little, how can the TIVO control the picture but not the tuner? ......I had hoped as these Sky boxes have 3 tuners (I think) I could utilise one of them to keep the TIVO doing the great thing it does.

There are two tuners - but you can not select which one you are using.

One of them will provide the picture and it is that one which TiVo and the remote control (at that time).
