You can buy them in different versions, some able to hold multiple discs.

One type is pretty simple. You just stack up to six discs on the same spindle in the case.

Here's a webpage for this particular version-
http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=USPlastic&category%5Fname=18633&product%5Fid=26536

I'm just wondering if this case has a see-thru sleeve you can put an insert into, and just how large such an insert would be. (The spine looks a little wider than a standard one-disc clamshell would be, which would throw off the insert measurements.)

Anyone here have any preferences on clamshell cases, or do you know anything about the type shown on the webpage?

Why would you want a case that holds 6 disks(specifically)? I would see it reasonable if you can't fit everything on to one disk, or if you have many disks for a series...However, getting to disk 3 is going to be a complete pain each and every time.

Well, it's not unheard of for DVD sets to come with multiple discs in the same case.

There are other types of clamshell cases that hold multiple discs using other methods.

I'm just looking for a decent way to do it without taking up a lot of space.

And you're right about having to remove all five discs to get to the sixth one. I've been thinking about that aspect too.

Just wondering if anyone's used these and what they can tell me, about these or other types, is all.

I was going to suggest this type of case specifically. Works well and eliminates the "Disk 3 stacked" problem. ;)

Thanks Steve!

Looks like they have a six disc version too. Price isn't bad either.

I use several "Inland" brand 10 dvd cases and have zero problems with them. Plus they were $2.99 each, can't beat the price. http://www.inland-products.com/singleproduct.asp?search=storage&partnum=02405

I have one that has a spidley thing that can hold 3 or 4 discs. It was a secure one that came from a video store that hade a security thing in the middle.

To save space, we just buy sleeves (sometimes colored ones) and use a DVD shoebox... Label them with pencil (hard with certain colors)

The arrangement makes flipping through quite easy, fast, and it doesn't take up all that much room.
