I don't have a USB to Ethernet adapter, nor the money to purchase one. Neither a serial cable. Would it be possible to put the TiVo drive into my computer and somehow run the enhancement script on it? If so, how? Sorry, I'm quite new to the TiVo hacking scene.

In theory, you may be able to have rc.sysinit.author call it, if it is totally automatic. The script needs run on the Tivo.

A Serial cable is easy to make anyway, and you can likely fine a Linksys USB100tx cheap.

For just the enhancement script you need a hacked tivo to start with, but if you have a Dtivo you could run zipper and in theory as classicsat said modify the author file. If you have an SA tivo you might be able to do the same with SApper but I think that is still in beta so I'm not sure of the results.

Having said that without networking I don't know what you can get out of the enhancement script. I think the only thing that would be visible might be Caller ID (but I think SA's have that unhacked? Not sure don't have one). So whats the point?

Much of the enhancement script will fail unless it's on a running tivo. The script calls many tivosh functions which cannot run outside of tivo.
