My sound has suddenly gone on the TiVo. Sound on TV is OK, but no pinging noises when I switch through the TiVo menus though can play recordings fine with no sound.

Have tried 2 reboots to no avail BTW.

Has your SCART lead come loose? (Check both ends)

This is the first place to look. More complex suggestions will follow, but I'd start simple :)

Yes have tried that. Whats difference between a hard and a soft re=boot?

Panic over - had another twiddle with the scarts and now back on track. BTW Reading the threads I get the impressiuon that it's possible to switch over the life time sub to another machinge? I would dearly love to have a larger drive or two and to have it on the home wireless network would be even better, though I'm not that technically minded (took three weeks to connect tivo-dvb-t rcvr-skybox-vcr together and get them working - dread ever having to unplug them, none of the cables are long enough to get then out of the cabinet.

Glad it was a simple SCART problem after all

You seem to be asking two other questions

1. Yes it IS possible to move subs between machines, but why would you want to do that
2. Bigger drives and network access are "must haves" in my mind, but you can do that to your existing Tivo

Unless you really DO want more than 1?

How would I go aboiut getting such an upgrade and how much would it cost?

I am biased, but I've used Tivoheaven (http://www.tivoheaven.com/) (poster blindlemon on this forum) - they have MANY upgrade options

He's also very helpful with advice and answers

There are also DIY options which are cheaper, but they tend to be for the more technically able (which counts me out!)
