Help Converting TiVo transfers from that pesky .tivo to something I can edit like mpg

I have tried Videora and for the life of me I cannot figure it out, Transcoding??? Anyway I can't seem to find anything about this now that I need the help.
Aside from mpeg not being the easiest thing to edit either and am not sure how close to the edge of being allowed to talk about on this site I would direct you off site either here (http://www.weethet.nl/english/tivo_extract_videos.php) or the other site DDB and look for Tytools.

There was a software program that tivo recommened a while back for converting and burning onto a DVD. I remember getting an email direct from tivo about it.
