View Full Version : Humaxx CD info grabbed from internet

Thought I'd share my find with everyone elese. I Have the 40hr unit. Got in on the "web special" section at Tivo.com and for $99 plus free shipping! No one has mentioned that if connected to broadband (a no brainer if it's in your house already) The Humax unit will retreive info for your CD's that you put in the drive. Most likley using the CDDB archive like winamp! so you get all the songs instead of track1, track2, track3. I have tried this with several disc that I know DON'T have CD-text on them. Another great bonus for CD lovers!

That's a very cool feature! Thanks for sharing it with the community. I have one of those units and had no idea it could do that.

I will bet that most people don't know that little TiVo icon under the lights on the Humax DVD TiVos is also a "TiVo" button.

Wow! 18 months later, I learn about this. It seems I could just hit the joystick to the left too, but that's pretty neat. I have extra remotes so I almost never use this....
