View Full Version : Series 3 Problem. Help Please.

I have a S3 and it has been working fine until this week. After the new upgrade it will NOT keep the correct time (so all recorded shows are incorrect) and now the GUIDE button does not work with the S3 remote (it does work with my old S2 remote). What should I do? Call TIVO or try and take it back to Circuit City?

If it's within the return period at CC, I'd take it back. If not, you're stuck calling Tivo. Good luck.

Have you tried rerunning Guided Setup?

Does the time correct itself when you force a connection and then drift at some absurdly high rate?

If the guide button quit working on one remote but not the other, it sounds like you've got a broken remote.

Twice I've had one of my Series 3s be off about 3.5 hours on time. The first time, I redid Guided Setup, which fixed it. The second time, I simply told it to perform its daily phone call again, which corrected it. I then changed the phone number to a different dialup number, and it hasn't happened again so far.
