I want to make sure I understand correctly because I only want to open my computer once to put the Tivo harddrive in. Do I have these steps correct?
1. Format drive using what ever means I choose (I will probably go Weakness)
*** Note*** I can put the drive back in the Tivo because this is the only step requiring it be hooked to the puter.
2. Change PROM
3. FTP into Tivo and load Tweak.zip from Sapper
4. Load Sapper via FTP
5. Load Slicer via FTP to keep the previous step loaded
6. Add any other hacks I choose
Does this look right? Do I have any steps out of sequence or am I missing any steps? What about the Kernel, will Sapper take care of it or do I need to worry about it with a 649DT?
TIA

Yes, many times. I fact I have post in that thread. What exactly are you trying to get me to see? Also, as for my steps, are they way off? Will they work?

Your steps are a little off. The SApper/Zipper are run when your tivo drive is in your PC. After that completes you can put the drive in your tivo and upload/run tweak.sh, the enhancement script.

Thanks, That's what I needed to know. Can I run Sapper on the drive before my Prom arrives? Will my Tivo still work without the hacks until I put in the prom?

While you cant run SApper on the drive before you replace the PROM, you would be then unable to use the TiVo until the PROM is replaced.
