I enjoy watching movies older than 1935. I cannot find just older movies by wishlist unless I add a wishlist for every single year, and even then it wouldn't be 100% accurate. All I want to do is search by year, is that so hard?

If you can tolerate movies from all the 1930s, then you could get by with Keyword Movie Wishlists for "191*", "192*", and "193*" (I believe the earliest surviving movie is dated sometime around 1912). Use the SLOW button for the wildcard symbol. If you really don't want anything past 1934, then you'll have to replace the wildcarded "193*" Wishlist with five others searching for "1930", "1931", "1932", "1933", and "1934". You'll still get errors from movies that refer to those dates in their write-ups, but you could probably lessen those by including the keyword "SILENT" with the 1920s and earlier dates. For that matter, you could probably replace everything but the 1930s search solely with the term "SILENT". I think the earliest true talkies came out in the late 1920s. So, you'll probably miss a few films that way.

I use separate WL for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007. I like the 200* idea but still would like the ability to merely say "record movies newer than 2002". The only benefit I get from WL separate years is I give higher priority to the newer years. Then again, a WL allowing me to record movies newer than 2002 should also give me options in how to prioritize recordings in the group! It could be by year, or have a sub prioritizer such as allow me to add sub WL of priority (by actor name, chanel type such as HD or specific channel) and also sub WL of criterion.
I actually had wishlists for movies in specific years when "Advanced Wishlists" were available. They make it easy to do that.
Bringing them back is suggested here (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=360086).
