I recently got a second TiVo, one of the refurbished TCD542 single tuner models. It's been a month and I still haven't seen any showcase or TiVoCast items, or any other ads -- yellow stars, etc. The Music, Photos, Products, & More does show up.
I actually like the showcase and TiVoCast features, so it would be nice if it worked. I can schedule a TiVoCast download online and it shows up. The daily guide data gets loaded fine.
If I look at the scheduling, the Teleworld Paid Program is not scheduled to record. On my old TiVo, those episodes are scheduled to record.
So, does it take more than a month or is something wrong? The TCD542 is a bit of an oddball -- as far as I know, it was never sold new. They're all refurbished 540s with over-the-air tuning disabled.
Maybe I should just auction it off to someone that hates the yellow stars. :D
