Well I recently purchased my first Tivo. Been playing with family members tivos for awhile, while being stuck with the cable company DVR. Well I jumped on the refurbished 180 hr DT Tivo and I have truly enjoyed it to as of late. I've have been getting some recordings where it says "Partial Recording", meaning when I try to play it, only the first minute or so have been recorded. Also, at times when I try to change channels all I get is a black screen. Now I get this for Regular Cable channels like ESPN or NBC, but not really Digital Channels (Well I wouldn't know because majority of the recording is from non digital channels.)
All I use is a line from the wall, with the splitter I have received with my Tivo box. One going to the cable line, the other to my tivo. Then use Video out from Cable Box to my Tivo. I am wondering if I am more likely going to need an amplifer to improve the signal quality due to the fact we do have Cable Internet from the Cable Company (Don't know if that does anything or not.). If anyone can give me some advice, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
