This was originally on last December and more recently Sci-Fi ran it again a couple weeks ago. I thought it wasn't bad at all, for a Sci-Fi mini-series. However, I do have a question.
The way it ended hinted that they would continue the story. One of the groups of collectors had found there spiritual leader and the room had once again reset itself, though where the key was is unclear.
Has anyone heard if Sci-Fi are going to continue this story? I would definitely be interested in see more.

I don't think there's any official word on it being picked up and being turned into a series - ratings for the miniseries were low. It was designed as a backdoor pilot (is that the right term?) though, which is why it was open-ended. They were hoping it might get turned into a series.
However, there is a glimmer of hope. I found this, on the Sci-Fi web forum, dated 5/3/07:
"Peter Krause was on 101.1 wrif this morning promoting a new movie, on the Drew and Mike show. Mike asked a lot about The Lost Room. Peter said that he spoke to a writer recently, and that sci fi has ordered more scripts and that more episodes or mini-series-esque episodes were likely for The Lost Room."

I've heard rumors locally in Albuquerque where a lot of the miniseries was shot that it is coming back. There's been quite a bit of stuff produced here recently and the film community was disappointed to hear that the series wasn't going to be shot here.

I really enjoyed this series a lot. I hope they do more of them. :)

I wasn't even thinking about them turning it into a full series.. That would be even better as long as they can keep up with the creativity.
It would definintely have to stay away from the mystery/monster/case/bad guy of the week pattern.
It's out on DVD, for any who are interested.
