Poll: Have you received the "second" update yet (early receivers of 8.1)

I don't know why but I'm more obsessed with when I'm going to get the regular update instead of the one containing the "L" in the serial number.

I've tried manual calls but nothing happens. So I'm curious. How many of you have received the "follow up" update.

As far as I know, TiVo doesn't add to its list of machines to send updates to over the weekend. You may still get updated over the weekend depending on the particular timing that your TiVo makes its daily call, but if you don't get it on your first call after Friday midnight, you're not going to get it until sometime after noon on Monday.

Note that TiVo may have changed its distribution schedule, but the above was true a couple of years ago.

S3 called in this morning at 10:32. Still running version L, no "pending update." :(

And yes I'm still crying about it. :o
