I really think they did a superb job with what essentially is a 3-part season finale. And they did it all without resorting to using a cliffhanger.
And it looks like Annabeth may have a new romantic interest in her life; I hope that makes it into the next season. And I think I share Maureen's thoughts on Conlin. At first, I really didn't like him, but I've grown to really like his character and what he's brought to the show as the season progressed.

Show has improved because its become grittier. Now, we just need to relocate it to Chicago and change the title.

It seems that many season finales, this one included, are reducing their payroll.
I like that there was no cliffhanger, but I didn't expect one because this was a three parter.
Next season will be a new start.

So the look Conlin gave Annabeth when the handsome detective made goo-goo eyes at her -- jealous much there, Harm? :D
And then there's the older white-haired defense attorney who got to comfort her this episode. They're not trying to start something there, too, are they? That would be kind of icky.

The gray-haired prosecutor and Annabeth have been friends since season 1. Poor guy plays a pedophile or sleazy defense attorney in almost every role. :P
"Hallelujah" at the end was a very nice touch.

I had the sound off at the end -- was it Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah"? That song has ended an episode of four or five TV series now.

Yep, that one, covered by some female vocalist. I think I most recently heard it on House.
