Wow, those were perhaps the lamest bounty hunters EVER. Let's see:
1. Sucker-shot by your mark.
2. Hit by a bus. (Are you kidding me?!)
3. Shot by a plasma weapon that barely works. (Dr. Felger would be jealous.)
4. Shot by another bounty hunter.
5. Captured by your would-be prisoners with and thanks to your own technology.
If the galaxy's leftover thugs can't outsmart primitive humans, there's simply no hope. :)

C'mon ... it was worth it for Claudia Black in her Daisy Duke outfit. :D
Why was Carrot Top at the Chimera demonstration? Check out the front row.

I also liked this episode too. It was a lot of fun. I also like episodes that take place mainly on Earth but involve Stargate "technology" (rings crashing through the gym ceiling, etc.).
This episode was like the "Star Trek IV" equivalent for Stargate. ;)

The woman who played Amy was also on "Painkiller Jane" tonight. Anne Marie Loder (http://imdb.com/name/nm0517059/).

Credited (in SG1) as Anne Marie DeLuise .. She's married to Peter.... Its a *very* Deluise-ish series.

He's a lucky guy. She's quite a looker. :)
I remember her from the brilliant Canadian series "Higher Ground."

As if.

I didn't really care for this episode. I fell asleep on it twice and it was still light years better than this week's Atlantis episode.

2. Hit by a bus. (Are you kidding me?!)
I bought that by using the logic that they probably don't have streets and buses wherever she came from. :)
BTW, when Cameron is walking through the halls of the high school, notice that there are 8x11 posters that say "Peter DeLuise for Class Secretary" and someone's blacked out the "Cl" so it says "Peter DeLuise for ass Secretary" :D (or maybe Treasurer, I forget which).
(It's particularly noticable when the camera that's tracking Cameron stops and holds on a trophy case for a few seconds while Cameron keeps walking out of frame. The poster is taped to the front of the case.)

I've always been sad that such an incredible body (Claudia) is topped with such a hideous face.
Such a throwaway episode this close to the end. It's whimpering out.
And they couldn't afford to license just ONE real song?

Claudia Black isn't hideous. She just more average looking than your typical tv actress bimbo.

I could have lived without this episode but it wasn't necessarily bad.
If there are really so few episodes remaining how in the world are they going to resolve the Ori storyline before the end? That's two weeks of episodes that have no forward movement of the Ori storyline. Methinks I feel a "slingshot around the sun" convenient ending episode afoot.

I just think all the rumors of SG1 ending are false. I mean with episodes like this it seems like a mid season with signed contracts for next year already.
While the stand alone episodes are fine in themselves but certainly not outstanding this is SG1, we need a big multi episode finale here folks, not some one off corn ball humor.
They have all the elements in the ascended, the ORI, the ancients, Atlantis tie in, I mean I am sure we could all write a decent 6 episode arc to wrap all those goodies up. Plus it is jarring to go from 4 or so Ori ships slipping through the super gate to Ori knows where over to ah take some time off and go way off base and be hard to reach. You guys are not all that important right now.

That's a big problem with they way Sci-Fi makes its shows. They air them on a split season, but they don't (probably can't) produce them that way, so they've finished filming long before it's time to make a decision on next season.

I loved the Orville Redenbacher line in the beginning. From then on, I knew it was going to be a comedy episode.
I think the Ori are toast, and it will only take a short time for their followers to realize it.

That reminds me. What was the deal with that stuff? I can't quite remember if it had come up before (maybe some kind of narcotic?).
But why did the SGC care enough to send SG-1 out to interdict and eliminate transportation of it?
Were they really just trying to punish Natan for being an untrustworthy ally in that fight at the supergate?
They kind of left the motivation unexplained.

They were taking the "war on drugs" to the stars? I asume that the stuff in the crates was drugs. But, of course, that would beg the question, what jurisdiction does the US Government have on interstellar commerce? This is giving me a headache...

The ORI arc will end with the first of the 2 movies due out, I guess in the fall. The 2nd movie, apparently will stand on it's own as a farewell movie. Then Amanda Tapping goes to Atlantis full time (oh, God, the Carter/McKay crap will be back). I hope we get Daniel to Atlantis as well.

I asume that the stuff in the crates was drugs.
It was kassa, which is that corn-like plant that contains some sort of highly addictive drug that the Lucian Alliance has been distributing.

This getting-hit-by-a-bus thing as an easy out is getting out of control.

Maybe the phrase "Got hit by a bus" will catch on like "jumped the shark" did!

I hear "get hit by a bus" very often, particularly when referring to someone is very competent in one particular area and doesn't have a well-trained backup in the event of an emergency. If Tommy got hit by a bus, we'd be in a world of hurt since he's the only one at the company who knows X, Y, and Z.

This isn't the first time a villian/thorn in the side of Sam Carter has been hit by a bus.
Is that what you are referring to Mitch?

It's been used as a plot device on several shows now. I think the first was one of the deaths on 6 Feet Under.

That seems to be a popular "special" effect now-a-days ... Alias, Lost, several films, etc. Maybe it's a cheap plug-in for Adobe Premier? :D
