So on Sunday I notice both lights flashing like crazy, never a good sign. Turn on the TV, and its in the first boot screen, it NEVER gets to the "Almost There" screen. So I unplug wait a bit no go. Wait an hour. It comes up everything is fine. Get a message that TIVO just upgraded me to some 8.X version on Saturday It was also very warm on Sunday, no air conditioning in the house.
Monday my wife calls me, same thing. Come home pop the cover, lots of dust clean it out. Works the rest of the night. Tuesday same thing. Its was till warm in the house Fan seems to be working, although its not pusing a lot of air.
Wife thinks it may be related to when a show is recorded.
So it could be the upgrade.
It could be the heat and the fan is not doing its job, although it has been much hotter in the house.
It could be the hard drive is going out.
I could get a new drive for 70.00 at BestBuy and upgrade as describe at Weaknees.
I could get a new fan, any ideas on the size 40 or 60 mm?
I really don't think its the upgrade, it started occurring less than 24 hours after the upgrade
