The standard setup:

Series 2 Dual Tuner Tivo.
Wall (Comcast) to splitter.
One side to Tivo coax input, other side to cable box coax input.
Tivo to TV via RCA.
Cable box to Tivo via RCA.
Setup has been run.

So what I'm trying to figure out is how to view the analog channels by default through the cable box (box) instead of using the direct coax connection (cbl).

The reason why is because my cable signal is crap right now while Comcast is figuring out what's up and the video I'm getting directly from the wall into the Tivo is miserable. At least through the cable box it looks clear (pixelates a bit right now). Is there any way to force Tivo on one of the tuners to use the cable box instead?

I've gone into Settings-Channels-Channel List and changed each analog channel from "cbl" to "box" and that didn't fix it; those channels are still coming through the "cbl" tuner.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why don't you remove the splitter to the TiVo? That way the Tivo doesn't even receive the analog channels, except through the box.

Also, I would think that unchecking the cbl channels and checking the box channels would also do the trick.

And realize that whatever option you choose to eliminate the analog channels, your dual tuner Tivo will end up with only one tuner to record from.

Does your cable line have a splitter or two on it BEFORE the feed leading to the TiVo?

Sometimes a cable box can amp a weak signal that'll otherwise look bad.

Maybe you need an amplifier, or an amplifying splitter, earlier in the run.

Try doing an internet search for "Electroline" or put that word into the search field at eBay.
