View Full Version : Humax DVD/TiVo on old TV (no inputs)

A little while ago I bought a refurb Humax TiVo/DVD burner, with the plan that it'd be set up in my bedroom.

It's taken awhile for me to get to hook it up (we just moved), and now that I'm starting to do that, I have a problem. A big problem.

Turns out that the TV in the bedroom is so old that it has no inputs (just one coax plug).

My Series2 Tivo seems to have a channel 3/4 switch and RF out, so if I had THAT TiVo up there, we'd be fine. However, that is not the plan.

How do I get my Humax Tivo/DVD working on that other TV? And I'd prefer to not get some large piece of hardware to act as the middle-man (like an old VCR).

Any ideas/thoughts?

See if you can find a "game switch" that might do the job. One that converts the red/white/yellow output to coax.
