Hiding Sub Menus and Items

I've been a TiVo owner now for a couple of years, and starting to get tired off all the extra stuff that is being added, that really has no value to me. Does anybody know if there is an easy way to hide some of the menu options and/or items such as the Nikon Legends, games, etc.? I liked to TiVo for being simple and easy, but finding more and more junk being added.

Since I have had my SPs setup, I rarely go to the menus that display the extra stuff. And, if I do, I just ignore them. :)
