Channel changing unattended

Has anyone ever had a situation where the digital cable box is left on a channel, but when returning, the channel has been changed? Somehow this is happening all the time, where I leave the digital box set to say, channel 33, but when I return it is on channel 3. No matter what the original channel, I always end up on channel 3. Called Tivo customer service, but got no help. Thanks for any help or insights.

Do you have Suggestions turned on? Your TiVo will record shows it thinks you may like when it's not recording anything else. It's possible that these shows happen to be on channel 3.

If you go into your Now Playing List and check the TiVo Suggestions folder, are there any recordings there? If so, do they happen to be from channel 3?

It may also be the TiVo recording Showcase information. Chances are, in your case, that channel 3 carries the Teleworld broadcasts.
