MRV + Pc

I have a 240, a 540, and a PC all linked together via wireless w/2 tivo adapters and a linksys router.

On occasion one of the pieces of the puzzle would disappear from the equation and restarting that particular piece would make things right. However, i noticed last night that the PC disappeared from NP. I went to open TD2.3a and it hung up while trying to open.

So i updated to 2.4. then opened TD...it was able to see the 240 but not the 540...and neither Tivo is seeing the PC....

So....what do i restart with this situation???

Try redoing your firewall settings on the PC. Sometimes they don't seem to update right and recognize the new TiVo executables as permitted to talk or listen on the local network.

Neither TiVo seeing the PC would indicate that the TiVo Beacon service on the PC is not running, or is not getting permission to broadcast on your local network. The PC not seeing a TiVo may mean that the scope of the port exceptions for port 2190 inbound does not include the TiVo it is not seeing.
