30k of my 35k TiVo Rewards points expire at the end of May. Any suggestions on what makes sense?
I would really love a 30 gb 5G iPod (MSRP $249), since my 20gb 3G is on its last legs. However, TiVo Rewards only offers the 1gb 2G Shuffle (MSRP $79) for 15k points ($5.27 per 1k points), the 4gb 2G Nano (MSRP $199) for 35k points ($5.69 per 1k) or the 80gb 5G (MSRP $349) and it is 50k points ($6.98 per 1k). I assume the item listed as "VIDEO IPOD 60GB WHITE" for 40k points is the 4G?
Outside of the iPod offerings, there's not much that interests me. I guess I could get 3 of the Wireless G adapters and increase performance on 2 of my TiVos and give wireless access to 1 or more of my friends w/ TiVos still on phone hookup.
Maybe I'll just buy 100 3" ornaments!!!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You're a grown up. Make decision on your own. Asking people who no thing about you, what you have, what you need or what you'd actually use is really really sad.
That's my suggestion and I'm glad that you greatly appreciate it.

You could ship me one. The points will be lost anyway right? Why not make someone else happy and help them out in need. :)

I'm a little lost. Can you give me some guidance? What is this phrase "Asking people who no thing about you" that you speak of? Any translation will be greatly appreciated. :D

If one does not know you how would a stranger be able to give you insightful advice about what makes good sense for you to get with your points. IE. the new digital camera is nice but if you have a good one now, why would you want another.

Go for the Bose Sound Dock for 30,000 points and flip it on eBay! Make a couple hundred $$ I bet!

I'm sorry that a misused word that's a homonym (homophone) of the one I meant to use confused you. Most people would be able to figure out that I meant to use "know" and move on and not even care that English is my second language. They're just not that petty.
Thank you for bringing your American ignorance on that matter to my attention. I appreciate it. I really do.
Poster's Paradox-- anytime someone posts that a thread is stupid/waste of time/sad/etc. that fact is at least as true of the second post as the first.
P.S. I think I have 5000 points expiring in a few months, since most of my referral predated tivo points. Can't wait to see what to get-- it's sort of like "shopping" on the old Wheel of Fortune.

Technically, you not only misused the homonym, you used "thing" instead of "nothing." In an alternate explanation, you merely forgot the word "know" and misspelled "nothing."
Also, thanks for your assumption that I'm American simply because I currently live here.
That said, has anyone ever heard of TiVo extending the deadline on any points expiration? What about if you applied for one of their credit cards to earn points at the same time? I'm thinking I could probably score 15k points with the credit card pretty quick, add that to my 35k and get the 80 gb 5G? Maybe I'll E-mail TiVoStephen to see if we can work something out.

The "VIDEO IPOD 60GB WHITE" would be an original 5G model.
I'll take an ornament. ;)

Technically (since you like to be technical), I didn't say that you were an American. I said that you had American ignorance and you just proved it again.
What I really want to understand is your need to be defensive about your ignorance in believing that complete strangers could make any valid recommendations for you based on... well, nothing at all. So how does that work? Help me understand why you are the way you are. That way I may be able to recommend something to get with your rewards points.

Mine were about to expire too. I bought two wireless adapters and sold them for $40 each.
Used the $ to save up for a new receiver.
