Well, they decided at the last minute to put the Tuesday Sharks game on the FSBA (Fox Sports Bay Area) HD channel instead of the SF Giants game. The hockey game was scheduled to be on the VSGLF HD channel. Naturally, the Comcast set-top box (for the Series 2 TiVo) knew about the schedule change, and the Series 3 TiVo didn't know about it, but that is old news. So I tune to the VSGLF channel, and right when the game is supposed to start, the screen goes black. I wondered if my cablecards were messed up again, but they seemed to be OK (SUBSCRIBED, no CCI issues). My son suggested that we try the FSBA HD channel, and sure enough, there was the Sharks game. Now, in the old analog days, there would have been a message from the cable company on the blacked-out channel to the effect that programming had been blacked out for some reason. But now, you just get get a blank screen. Is this a TiVo thing, or something at the Comcast end?

I saw something similar last night. I was having problems with INHD and was working with someone from head end to fix them, which they did. I went to show my wife that we were getting INHD and much to my surprise I had a grey screen. So I went upstairs and for some reason those 3 hours of INHD were showing blacked out on the guide on my HD STB. TiVo's guide showed regular program info.
I don't know why there was a blackout but it put my mind at ease that my problem with INHD, now called MOJO didn't return. I guess the blame goes to Tribune Media.
