I've named both my boxes, disabled and then reenabled transfers on tivo.com, forced a connection for both boxes, cycled my router, cycled both boxes......and no luck.
When I go to Settings, Troubleshooting, Transfers, hit enter, I see the boxes are now named correctly and the opposite box see's the other, but still lists the other box as "No host information available".
Any ideas?

It takes time.
If you went to tivo.com and messed around with everything and then tried to get your Tivos to do what you want, it won't work. It takes time for tivo's servers to get the information you changed. Your Tivos could have gotten some of the info, but not all of it.
It takes time, just like it says it will on the website.

How much time? it's been 8 days.
Seems like there is something wrong.

Seems like there is something wrong.Has it been 8 days since you first tried to set it up, or 8 days since the last time you changed any DVR settings on TiVo.com? (When you disabled/enabled transfers on one of the TiVos, you essentially "start the clock" all over again.)
As far as I can tell, all of the TiVos on the account need to be "told" about any change in the "Enable Transfers" (or any other DVR-related) setting. Once all of the TiVos know about the updated settings, then TiVo.com tells each of the TiVos that it is now OK to use the settings. That can take a bit of time, but on a broadband account (and if you don't change any settings) it should certainly occur within 2 days (and probably occur in a day).
Also, if you have a TiVo on your account that isn't currently running, I think it might take much longer (or might not happen at all!). So, be sure that all of your TiVos are on and connected to your broadband network.
I assume that you have met all of the other requirements for MRV (like all TiVos on the same subnet ...).
EDIT: Also, you shouldn't need to restart your TiVos (or routers) to speed along the MRV process.

It's been 8 days since the changes were made. I've had the Tivo's up and in service for over a month now.
The only two items that are not completely closed in my mind are subnets and open ports.
Subnets: I have a wired router that receives the inbound signal, that connects to another wired router in my basement. My 2nd Tivo is connected to this one. I don't think this would be a different subnet, would it? I didn't make any changes to subnets, so I'm assuming I'm ok here. Any thoughts?
Open ports: Tivo support tells me to open port 443 on my 'HP Procurve switch 408' router. I opened this port via my AV software (Kaspersky) on my home machine. Could this be the problem? If so, how do I open this port on my router?
Thanks for your help!
