This is scarey.......I have been reading post and the one that sounds closest to the sound I am having calls for replacing harddrive. I Likened the sound to a UFO or a whirling sound. I have replaced hard drives in pc's but scares the heck out of me in thinking I would have to replace a tivo hardrive. I have a series 2 tivo with 40 hardrive. IF i were to replace harddrive wouldn't I have to have tivo software. I just completely don't understand :eek: Please help....need detailed instructions and explanations.
