Tivo Audio sound effects and OTA HD stations???

I just got a S3 and it's great. I do however have a question. I am not getting the sound effects when I am watching or on an HD program. I have basic cable and OTA as well. The sound effects work fine on the basic SD channels but the sound effects do not work (cant hear them) when I'm watching an HD channel... Is this a common issue? We like the sound effects and it helps us know if the button on the remote transmitted a signal or not as well as how fast we are forwarding or rewinding.

(Sound effects meaning the "blup blup blup" sound when you ff or rewind).

You won't hear the sound effects on any stations broadcasting in Dolby Digital, which includes all of your OTA stations.

ahh, if I downmixed to PCM would it work or does it read it from the source?Yes, if you have selected PCM downmix, you'll get the Tivo sounds, but you'll lose 5.1 surround sound.

The Series3 is not able to decode DD5.1 into 5.1 LPCM and mix in the sounds. If you choose PCM on the current software, DD5.1 is downmixed to 2.0 stereo, with Tivo sounds added.
