I had a hard drive problem on my Hughes DTiVo and had to take some corrective actions. I ended up just removing the defective 40GB drive B and leaving the 160GB drive A in place. I then used MFS Tools to reimage the drive with a virgin 6.2 DTiVo image. Unfortunately the box is showing that it has 0 hours of recording capacity. What would cause this? a 160GB drive is recognized as a 137GB drive and has 100+ hours of capacity. I used the mfsrestore command taken directly out of Hinsdale to reimage the drive. Any suggestions on what the problem might be would be appreciated.

It sounds like you didn't properly expand the newly imaged drive. This is best posted in the Tivo Upgrade Center Forum here, so perhaps you could start a new thread there and describe the exact MFSTools commands you used. Also, let us know where you obtained your "virgin 6.2 DTivo image".

You left out the -x switch when you restored the image. It's not a good idea to run a zero hour tivo for very long, so you should probably reimage and make sure to use -x in the command this time.

The TiVo started rebooting after an hour or so. Would that have been because I left the x switch off? I just checked the command I used and I did indeed forget the x switch. Dang!

Yes.
