Problems xfr video with Sony HD Camcorder

I have the Sony SR62 Hard Drive camcorder which creates an MPEG2 without having to capture. Problem I am having is that even though it comes up in the Now playing list, I cannot transfer the file because it's an "unknown format".

Is this a setting I can change in the camcorder? Or do I need a 3rd party application to capture the video? Of course, that's what I tried to avoid with a HD camcorder.

Just installed the most recent Tivo version 2.4 and installed the Tivo.net service but it seems to be the same problem with both applications.

I'm not sure on what steps to take to resolve this problem. Please let me know.

Just want to be sure - you have the video file on the PC and want to send it to the Tivo?
Can you view it on the PC?

Yes, I can view on the PC. There is software that comes with the Sony camcorder that would allow me to edit the video. I just don't know exactly what I would be editing?

Sounds like you need software that converts the file on your PC hard drive to a format that Tivo likes.

Videora works fine for me (and it's free). A little tough to master.
