I thought this was Tech TiVo had patented at least a year ago but the NY Times had attributed it "Fox hopes to test the process, developed by Andrew G. Setos, president for engineering at the Fox Group, with TiVo, Mr. Nesvig said."

some kind of new partnership for Tivo. Looks like the dealmaking CEO at TiVo has another notch in his gun belt ;) and it looks like an ad for an ad with revenue for TiVo :up: and a deeper partnership with the cable companies. As long asmy beloved Stand Alone TiVo keeps working the same sounds good to me.
