Testpattern

Awhile back some of you were discussing the possibility of Tivo sponsoring Video Files suitable for making some of the video set up adjustments. Anything ever come from this? I've got the Avia and DVE discs but they do little good since I can't play them through the TiVo.
Has anyone found a good approach to calibrating your video as received from TiVo?
Thanks,

If you input both your Tivo and DVD player into your TV via the same input (HDMI, component, whatever), a DVD (or better yet HD-DVD/Blu-Ray) calibration disc should get you very close. Make sure you are using the same inputs though, since you can see differences between HDMI and component for example. I get what you are saying though, and yes it would be very cool if you could download an HD calibration video and test patterns through the Tivo. Also, you might take a look on AVSForum and see if people have posted calibration settings for your TV. I know for mine, a couple people paid for ISF calibration and posted the resulting settings on the forum (and they are perfect).

You can also have your TiVo record the "InHD Tune Up" on INHD on Sunday mornings.
It includes the standard color bars and such. And obviously, since your TiVo is recording it and playing it back, it should be pretty close to being accurate.

Yes, the InHD Tune Up is great. It has brightness, contract, covergence, color balance and 5.1 audio calibration screens that each last about two minutes so that you can adjust your TV. Once thing I wish it adds is a resolution type of screen where you try to differentiate progressively smaller features.

I can't remember where I got these but here are some HD calibration photos you can use with HD Photos. Download them from my flickr site. Then use HD Photos with Desktop 2.4. Personally I don't know how to use them but I thought they maybe useful.

If we use these files http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyfisher/sets/72157600142634728/
Do a "One True Media" channel with it.
Post the channel number and enjoy!
It would be useful.

For those unfamiliar with Flickr you would click on a photo and then select View All Sizes, then download the original size. Flickr offers various compressions of the photo, you want the original size.

Thanks Guys...
The Flickr pictures of patterns should do the trick with one exception, resolution.
Has anyone encounter a resolution test pattern suitable for setting up 1080 sharpness, etc?
Thanks...
