Last January I loaded both of my HR10-250s with 3.1.5f after having several problems with 6.3a & b. I realize there is a problem with short recordings on 6.3d if the disk fills up, but since I don't use suggestions and I mark everything "Keep until I delete", I don't expect it to keep recording if my disk fills up.

Also, I have 500 Gig of disk or more in both units and rarely have them even half full. So, is 6.3d stable enough that I should give it a try again?

I'm still at 6.3c and have had no problems.

No problems here with 6.3d after one week.

OK, I decided to try 6.3d on one of my units. I connected the phone line, forced a connection, and in about 30 minuets it had upgraded from 3.1.5f to 6.3d. Everything looks good so far. I'll let everyone know how 6.3d compares to 3.15f. So far I notice its faster.

There was a little bit of suspense as the box booted twice before it came up. Now everything is fine.

I used slicer to go to 6.3d from 6.3c - it worked fine, and all my networking/hacks are still there. Anyone know what 6.3d was supposed to fix or improve?

Someone reported in another thread the problem that was fixed was the inability to record Pay Per View on tuner 2.
I think this one:

I for one can confirm that it did correct this issue. For me at least.

Last night I had audio breakup on my recording of House on Fox. This is the first problem I have detected since upgrading one of my HR10-250s to 6.3d about a week ago. Tonight I have Bones scheduled on both units. If I get audio breakups on the unit with 6.3d, I will then watch it on the one with 3.1.5f and see if it also has audio problems.

Bones on Fox last night had no problems on my HR10-250 with 6.3d. I guess I will keep watching it and stay on 6.3d unless I have additional problems.

All I can tell you is on the OTA recording of HD I am seeing minor issues from time to time with Audio drop out. D*TV is working fine across the board.

Was was your recording of Bones using HD from OTA or D*TV

I wouldn't worry about 6.3d software. But, you should be aware that recordings are still getting messed up.
See this thread for the regurgitated "modified" problem.

HR20 and Comcast users posted issues with it as well. I had 3 audio breakups in the last 20 minutes, and one burst of video pixelization as well on the NY feed. /steve
