Free fix Harmony 880 for resetting

I bought the 880 about six months ago. It's a truly great remote. A few weeks ago it began resetting itself. You'd pick it up, think you'd hit a button and the screen would only show the Harmony logon with the text "Testing..."

Logitech Harmony support says at least some 880s have too much space in the battery compartment. The battery slides back, no longer touches the contacts and it resets.

To fix, they sent me a little rubber space to put on the non-contact end of the battery. Problem solved!!

Just so you know...you can call and get the official rubber insert (I'm gald to see that they finally recognized there was a problem) or you can do what many of us since inception have been doing is using a piece of folded paper. It has worked like a charm for many, many months.
