Hello all, Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I am new here and apologize in advance if there are instructions on this somewhere. I looked around in the forum and was unable to find the answers.
Well, I just received a SIR-4080R from my parents since they are no longer using it. It was working perfectly fine in there home 3 days ago when they unhooked it and shipped it to me. I called DTV and activated the receiver, seemed to activate and I was able to view channels. But it was EXTREMELY slow to respond to any requests such as guide, change channels anything like that. So I unplugged it to reset it, it started to reload and now has the GSOD. :(
Im guessing the HDD has failed, possible from shipping. Can I just purchase a new HDD and then load the TIVO software onto it?? How would I go about doing this?
