Yesterday there was a message saying there was only 3 days left of programming available, and if I wanted to update it I would need to be connected to Tivo service!!! Im already connected, Im of corse gonna try "again" to call and get past the automated voice but I thought Id try here first.

Automated voice? What are you referring to? What is the automated voice saying?
You need to have your Tivo plugged into a working phone line or have it connect to Tivo via an internet connection. Which of these methods are you using?

By "automated voice" I think he meant he was going to call TiVo Support.
To the OP, have you tried forcing a call (from your TiVo)?

Try re-running Guided Setup. Sometimes lineup names change and then guide data is no longer updated.

There's nothing odd about a message that tells you that you are running out of guide data when you are in fact running out of guide data. Did you bother to see how much guide data you have? Did you check to make sure your Tivo is able to connect to get guide data?
If everything appears to be working, but you have very little guide data left, do what LifeIsABeach said and rerun guided setup.

Force a Call to Tivo, or if on a Network, force it to connect.
