I've been having problems lately with transfers from one S2 DVR to another being incomplete. For example, yesterday I transferred two 1-hour shows from DVR 'A' to DVR 'B'. Owing to mysterious problems, one transferred only 27 minutes while the other got 35 minutes. 'B' thinks the transfers are done as the To-Do list does not include the two transfers. And if it hadn't thought the first transfer was complete, it never would have started the second.
If I go to 'A' and use Now Playing to go to B's Now Playing, it shows the transferred recording duration length for each program on B to be 1 hour instead of the actual 27 and 35 minutes that actually got transferred. I discovered this the hard way when I had done some transfers and thought they were complete because connecting from the source DVR to the destination DVR's Now Playing showed the correct duration. I then deleted the recordings from the source DVR only to find later that the transfers were incomplete. It was several days after deleting from the source that I discovered the destination recordings to be truncated and it was too late to recover the recordings from the source.
Anyway, when connecting through Now Playing of one DVR to another's Now Playing, the durations reported seem to be what the recording *should have* been, not what the actual recording is. This strikes me as a bug. How does one report such things to TiVo?
