Last year I saw a site linked here that was selling refurbished DirecTivo’s without a hard drive and with new access cards for about $69. I believe the unit was a Phillips704. Does anyone have the link of the seller or know if these are still available? I thought it might be a safer way of adding an additional unit, than buying a used one on eBay or elsewhere.

The refurbs were available from DVRupgrade. I do not know if any are left. Good luck

We ran out of them (except for a few spares we have for emergencies) and subsequently took them off the site. WK still has some, I think.

WK doesn't have any more of them; a coworker tried to order one and got turned down. :( He bought one of the three I had.

I still have a couple sitting around (unit with no HD) if you want to pick one up off me :D

Check ebay. You'll probably be able to pick up a used S2 DTivo with hard drive for less than what you'd pay for the refurbs from either vendor.

Do you want a refurb because it would be warranty? Why not just buy one from ebay for a fraction of the cost. Or even try craiglist in your area, i have picked up 5 sd tivos on ebay in the past 6 mths for not over 35 bux a piece with drives. I also just picked up an HR10-250 for 170 shipped from craigslist. Check it out, you will find one.
