network problems

Hi,

I've tried this in two other forums so far and not even a single reply. :(
So lets see how it goes in this one

I'm really struggling to get my tivo working outside my local network and could really do with some help please.

I have telnet, ftp, ping, tivowebplus all working using local IP addresses.
I have port forwarding enabled for ports 80, 443 & 8888 (the one i've got set up for tivowebplus).

My Tivo is connected via a cachecard connected to a Zoom wireless bridge.

I know the wireless connection and router are fine as this is exactly the same scenario I had a couple of weeks back when I tried a Slingbox and had no problems at all (except for bandwidth).

Everything works perfectly.......locally.

I cannot connect to the tivo from another PC.
Nor can I connect to anything else from the tivo externally.

I know the IP, sub net and gateway addresses are set up ok.

One thing that confuses me is that if I type in the 'route' command (I saw it mentioned on a forum somewhere) it just returns with zilch. significant or not?

Even if I turn off the firewall totally in the router and port forward everything to my tivo it still wont work.

If I telnet with local IP to tivo and then ping out to a site which i can ping from the PC I get :-

ping: sendto: Network is unreachable

I kind of feel it must be something on the Tivo causing the issues but I've only been 'hacking' this thing for a few days and I have no idea.

I have 2.5.5 software, a series 1 tivo and my cachecard drivers and tivowebplus are the latest.

It might give you some suggestions.
