The hello kitty thing was great. Are there expansion paks like that in real life (not kitty i assume).

At least we got to see bart all grown up at last. 2 decades of no growth made me wonder if they arent feeding that boy too much coffee.

This had better one liners than south park, although overall as a wow spoof it wasn't as strong. I liked it when moe complained that he was paying $15/mo for this when his decapitated head was being used.

All that matters is, I laughed quite a few times during this ep. and I enjoyed the pairing of Marge and Bart and also Homer and Lisa.

Frankly folks, I don't see the problem with this ep. Is it just fantasy game players that got upset over it?

I'm sure you're right! ... but it wasn't funny in "The Simpsons" until it got used in "Platoon." :)

I was under the impression that Groening has had very little genuine involvement in the creative process for The Simpsons for at least 10 years now (other than cashing very large checks of course).

MUCH better.

South Park's episode was probably better overall, but I did the "laugh so hard you cry" thing several times during this episode... It was probably partially due to being tired (things seem funnier), but I still think several things were very very funny... some mentioned in this thread, plus "you mommed it all up", and others I can't remember.. oh yeah, the "they think I'm a troll" thing then he goes under the bridge.

I don't know. I rather liked this episode, but then again, I don't watch South Park, and especially didn't see the WoW episode. (Though, I heard they had fun doing the WoW one - gathering up tons of Mac Pros and other Macs around a table for the production, which took two weeks to capture it all). Of course, the article on how they made the SP episode is the only reason I know about it.

Just an observation, really.

I laughed so hard when Bart's jewels came out of, well, the crotch area of his suit in the game. Definitely one of the better Simpsons episodes. I, too, liked the family pairing off. It's nice when they focus on the family.

I loved the Hello Kitty room and Moe as a troll. Mom's gaming in WoW. I know it happens, but it still a scary thought. :)

It may not have been as good as South Park, but it was one of the better Simpsons episodes this season and thats good enough for me
