Problem installing Tivo Desktop 2.3a

I have read that Tivo Desktop 2.3a works on Vista but I can't get it to install to see for myself. Every time I try and install it after the first screen I get an error message that reads: The installation ended prematurely because and error occurred. My computer is running Vista Home Premium and it came already installed I didn't upgrade to Vista. Any one have any suggestions how I can get desktop to install? I am using the administrator account to install it. I can't figure out what the heck the problem is.

Try Tivo Desktop 2.2 which you can download from Tivo. I could not get 2.3a to install but 2.2 was fine.
