For those who watched the first season of A&E's "Flip This House," you are probably aware that the company they followed around, Trademark Properties, was unfortunately replaced in subsequent seasons.

However, they are now being featured in a new series on TLC, "The Real Deal." which is basically the same thing as the first season... all the "characters" you liked are back.

I'm extremely excited by this... I for one hated "Flip This House" after they were fired from the series, and this is everything that was good about that first season.

The series airs Saturdays at 9:00 p.m. (Eastern) and repeats at midnight.

Thank you for posting this! I was wondering when he would be back in a new show.

Glad they are back! Not as good as some of the originals, but still better than the imitators!

*bump* FYI: the show has dropped the name "The Real Deal," and instead now goes by the utterly banal "The Real Estate Pros." I can't find any explanation as to why they changed the name.

I noticed this - luckily Tivo picked it up anyway. At first I couldn't figure out why it was in the main "now playing" list and not in suggestions, and almost deleted it. I'm glad I decided to watch the first few seconds just to see what it was.

Yeah, I saw the first commercial with the new name last night.

I wonder if people didn't associate "The Real Deal" with a real estate show? I know before I actually saw the show I didn't think that and it was of no interest to me.

That explains why my Tivo knows nothing about "The Real Deal" anymore! However, it does automagically record "tREP" now.

Strange......

Yeah I noticed that last week. That is the third name they have had for it.

Funny thing is the credits on the show still come up as the Real Deal.

I don't know what they are doing with the name, I suspect there are some legal hurdles.

I've been watching Richard and the gain since the beginning. Love the show. His
whole crew works incredibly hard. We were watching it last night and my wife says
"do you think there's something between Richard and Ginger?" I said, "ofcourse,
I've always thought he's been involved with her since the first episode I watched." lol
Not that Ginger doesn't work hard and know her stuff, but let me see, middle age type A
guy with money and 20 something woman.

The episode I watched last night had to do with Richards high school friend and his drug problems. A good episode, I wish the shows would spend a little more time on demolition and construction and a little less time on the soap opera aspect. Finally, aren't there a few more commercial breaks these days?

I don't think they ever went to air with the second name... it only changed briefly in the guide data, then changed back before the week's episode aired (still having "The Real Deal" as the name).

I never watched the Trademark crew on Flip This House, but I'm really enjoying this show -- whatever it's called this week.

My wife and I were excited to happen upon the Real Deal a few weeks ago. The new crews on Flip this House just aren't as interesting. I wouldn't buy a house that San Antonio crew came within 100 yards of. The work they do looks awful.

By the way is anyone else not as happy with the TLC version of the show?

It seems like everything is some freaking good deed episode, the flipping company with a heart of gold. I don't mind one episode or two like that a season, like it was on A&E, but literally every episode of the show has been focused on some kind of charity angle and it drives me nuts. I don't need story with the house, I just need the deal and how it got done.

It doesn't really bother me. My favorite parts of the TLC version have been the scenes with Carlos... okay, and Carlos' hot daughter.

Glad to see them come back - I can't stand the new version of Flip this house.

Back when they were on TLC they had a lot of the "soap opera" aspect. There are lots of shows on flipping, and this one tried to show them as a company with a heart.
