Partial Burning on my Humax

Has anyone figured out a way to partially record a saved show.......e.g. start burning after the "previously on" portion so that a 63-64 minute show (FX - the Sheild), or for that matter, start from the middle of a show?

Right now, it seems like it is all or nothing......(OK, you are right, I am just trying to squeeze 2 episodes on one blank DVD-R).

Nope. The only option I know is to transfer the file over the network and burn with a PC. The filesizes are a such that you can get over 2 high quality 1 hour episodes on a DVD. I think you could also use a re-writable and use that to transfer the episodes individually to the PC for editing and then burning to DVD-R. Not much fun....
