Has anyone noticed recently with the HR10-250 and the latest software upgrade that when fast forwarding...and hitting play..the jump back doesn't seem to work as it did? My wife and I are having fits with this. It seems be different then it was. It used to be that as soon as you see the program..you hit play and it jumps back just enough..now we are struggling to get it just right.

Is there a setting that maybe was changed inadvertently? Just trying anything so I thought we'd go to the experts...its driving us nuts!

Thanks all for any suggestions

When you say "latest software upgrade", do you mean 6.3d?

Use 30s skip. Sorry, someone had to say it. :)

Ok Ok I get it but I thought I programmed the 30 skip and it actually goes directly to the end of the recorded show. When I hit it, it goes from start to end and back to start...

how to I set that up?
thanks...I can appreciate sarcasm just like anyone!

The 30s skip didn't take. Try it again.
To reiterate, enter Select - Play - Select - 3 - 0 - Select while playing a recording. If successful, you'll hear three dings.

I can't say if the FF jump back is any different because I seldom use it any more

Has anyone noticed recently with the HR10-250 and the latest software upgrade that when fast forwarding...and hitting play..the jump back doesn't seem to work as it did? I too have noticed that this has recently started occurring.

The first fast-forward speed level will advance 10 seconds of programming, then stops. When it stops, either the picture will freeze or a gray screen appears. Fast-forward speeds two and three are fine. I have noticed the problem occurs on HDTV and SDTV recorded programs with the two tuners selected to channels with no programming (so they are not recording and consuming CPU bandwidth).

I've got 6.3d and use both the 30 sec skip and fast forward. I've not noticed any diference on either. When fast forwarding at 3X speed, it still jumps back when I hit the fast forward button again to return to normal play. Perhaps that's the difference. Instead of hitting play, continue pressing the fast forward button until you return to normal play.
