Many of us in the San Francisco bay area have been experiencing problems on SF bay area 5 (CBS) for the last month or more. There is another sound track from another channel along with the channel 5 sound. This sound is very low volume and can really be heard when there is a void in the channel 5 sound. It is not the channel that is on the other tuner. I have tuned the other tuner to a channel that is not available (like ch 1) and the sound is still heard. Also the color intensity flares up and down, mostly on flesh colors when the face takes a large portion of the screen. These problems are not consistant, they occur only 50% of the time and the sound and color problems do not occur at the same time. It is not the receiver, as I have 2 R-10s and it occurs on both. Also others that have experienced the same problems have other receivers besides the R-10. I have watched the same channel at the same time on Comcast and it is perfectly ok, switched back to Direct tv and it is still there. I might add that the sound is "garbeled" on SF5 on direct tv, but ok on Comcast. If any one else is having this problem, please respond to this thread and maybe we can determine a solution.
