I never thought I would be the one to start this thread.

Nice to have Grey's back.

I like the idea of George and Izzy. The look one George's face when he walked back into the door at the end was awesome.....totally saying that "I want to be there with you".

McSteamy being Chief's "wingman"......loved it. Very hilarious.

So much more. So little time.

It's nice to have it back, but I'm sorry this is what returned. I completely disagree about George and Izzie -- I think that storyline doesn't work so thoroughly that it simply can't work. I found some of their scenes excruciating and FF'ed through them a bit. And please, please, can Izzie stop crying for once? We get it -- Katherine Heigl can cry on camera.

Moving on: the show has spent all this time convincing us that Derek is Meredith's knight and now we're supposed to believe that he's actually considering dumping her if it'll help him get the chief's job? Puh-leeze. How much more on-off-on-off between the two of them can the show actually expect us to care about?

The bits with Mark and the Chief were funny, though -- easily the best minutes of this ep.

And here I was thinking that Izzy's crying was so well-placed this time that people would soften up to it/her. I think they handled the situation with her daughter nicely. If the girl had agreed to meeting her so quickly, it just would have been unbelievable. I'm still not buying George/Izzy romance, but am happy to see a break-through in their friendship. It's just sad that his relationship with Callie is suffering for it.

I agree about Derek and Meredith, it's getting old and stale. I did like the transformation with Christine for this. Glad her ex took the hint and is done trying. Maybe we'll see a little transformation and realization by her in her relationship with Burke.

I like Izzy. I just hated her when she was around Denny and pining over him. I actually think she and George make a good couple.

As far as the Current Chief not wanting Derek to take over due to teh time consuming nature of the job affecting relationships, I guess that leaves Mark as the only viable candidate now.

The best part was mark and the chief very funny stuff. I liked christina's transfermation as of late. The rest I could of done with out I am sick of sad izzy. I am sick of derrick and grey I thought it was very weak.

It is almost unbearable to watch. George doesn't know whether fish or cut bait and he never has. First he elopes with Calle....ok, cool, I'm rooting for both of them. Then he has the "Izzy's a supermodel and I'm just George" comment to his lovely and LOYAL wife. Tops that off by getting down with Izzy.

Then in the prior episode he tells Izzy we have to shut it down, I love Calle too much to do this too her and I want to make it work.

Then in this episode he's soooooo worried about Izzy that he can't work until he finds her, then comforts her all while ignoring the 3:00 with Calle....

THEN HE LIES TO Calle about where he was?????

I don't see any redeeming qualities here. Grow a sack and tell Calle that you were checking on Izzy.

Rant Over....sorry.

And the Chief "protecting" Meredith is BS, not to mention after all the build up, now Derek is contemplating Meredith vs. Cheifdom?????? as other posters have said, that is BS.

I've been watching the show on DVD, downloads and online and have just caught up to my first new episode.

I also would like to see George and Callie make it work. I was rooting more for Alex and Izzy, although the Alex and Addison storyline seems like fun so far.

The whole Meredith and Derek on-off thing is classic TV romance. The show can't have them together without obstacles until the series is definitely ending. I guess we have to assume the same for most of the other couples. Most shows have at least one stable couple, but assigning Bailey and her mostly-off-screen-but-hot husband as that one just isn't cutting it. They need to setup one of the couples as solid and it is looking like Burke and Yang are going to be it after this little bump.

As for Cristina Yang softening up, I think she's kind of figuring out that she likes it. She just never saw herself like that before, but her little act has turned into "fake it until you make it." I'm sure this will confuse Burke a bit, but ultimately be better for their relationship.

I've said since the first season that George and Izzy should hook it up so I'm enjoying that story line. I also said at the beginning of Season 2 that Alex and Montgomery-Shepherd should get together. So I feel everything is falling into place. :)

The scenes with Mark and the Chief were great. I also loved the smile Mark had when the Chief says, "You're trying to get me laid hoping you'll get the Chief position."

Yikes! :eek: :eek: If Izzy had done that, I really would have jumped on the "I Hate Izzy" bandwagon that everyone else is on. That would have really been awful and selfish of her!

i now find george very annoying .. more so than izzie.. then again.. who knows.. can we have an episode where izzie isn't portrayed as a victem and crying? .. what happened to the strong izzie we say in season 1 who ripped off her shirt after alex posted pictures of her up everywhere.

on the other hand, i loved it when christina had different color nails and her explanation for it .. lolz

I'd really like to see George and Izzy make things work. I give it 2-3 episodes before Callie finds out about their hook-up if that. You know it's going to come out, Callie already has suspicions.

Mark trying to win the chief over as his wingman was hilarious.

While I think the chief like Addison the best, I don't see her as the chief. Burke is the chief, definitely.

Eh, this ep was, to quote Randy Jackson, "just aight for me, dawg". Derek's campaign for chief seems half-hearted, and he can't break up with Meredith after the whole back-from-the-dead thing.

That would have really been awful and selfish of her!Yeah, I mean compared to breaking the rules to look her up, bringing their daughter to her hospital and blindsiding her with the diagnosis, donor death and then hounding her mercilessly until she consents? They wouldn't even let her have a look at her daughter, but what's a few weeks of discomfort for the donor?

I get that they love their daughter, but they weren't asking for marrow, they seemed ready to run Izzie down and scoop it out of her corpse if she took another minute to think about it.

Sorry, but they ruined the Izzy character, I don't think there's any coming back for that one. It's sad actually. Pushy George was too eye rolling for me.

Yeah, that was weird. And dumb, very dumb.
All he had to say was "I was with a friend who was having a painful/difficult procedure". It's true (as far as it goes).

And if Callie pushes or investigates, George could truthfully say both "I would have been there for any of my friends, not just Izzie" and "She felt it was private and didn't want anyone to know, which I why I didn't mention who it was"

(Oh well, at least the writers didn't have Callie walk in while George was fumbling around with Izzie's pants)

1. If george really had feeling for Izzy, he wouldn't be with Callie
2. If he has feelings for Callie, he wouldn't jut "forget their date
3/ Giving bone marrow isn't generally an outpaient procedure and when did they do the marrow match?
4. I love Callie and I want her on the show, they need to fix this. She is way more interesting than Izzy.

I had the same thought. My guess would be cost and not having DNA tests that run in 'C.S.I.:Crime Scene Investigation' time. ;)

Perhaps that would've been a better opening for a story... have her actually go home with the parents and then a few weeks later end up back in the hospital because the DNA test came back showing no relation.

Mebbe but they never disclosed the results and most parents are not matches. You're chances are better as siblings since you have both Parents genetic material. Siblings have as much as a 30% chance, a single parent is much less and half siblings less still.

I think they did address that. Her teeth were badly damaged. They did look pretty nasty. Doesn't the DMV fingerprint all drivers?

As far as I know, the DMV doesn't have my prints, just the same photo they keep recycling from about 15 or 16 years ago. (For some reason, people checking my ID tend to tell me that I've shaved my moustache. :rolleyes: :D )
