I have just done a reformat of my system and I am trying to reinstall Tivo Desktop.
When installing either version, 2.3a or 2.4, during the install, I get error message:
Server Error.......Internal Error
Then it proceeds and states that the install was successful. However, when I start the program, I get the Internal Error message and it will not start Desktop.
I then did a "Repair install" and it said it was successful. Now when I try to start the Desktop, I get error message: Tivo Error: Cannot find Tivo Beacon Service. I noticed a message fly by during this "repair install" stating that is was removing the Tivo Beacon service. Apparently the repair did not put it back in.
I looked in the services.msc and it was not listed. It was listed before I did the repair.
Can anyone give me some help. It worked fine before I had to reformat my system drive.
