I'm in the process of selling my Hughes HDVR2 TiVo and I don't have the original box. What I'm looking for is the Receiver ID (RID) of my box. Am I correct in assuming that the RID is on System Information from the main menu? On the newer SD-DVR40 model the RID is on the back of the box.

My problem is I no longer subscribe to DirecTV and when I plug the TiVo in it tries to setup the box again (acquiring the satellite signal, etc etc).

Is there an easy way to skip the setup so I can directly go to the main menu then System Information.

I thought I saw a thread on this at some point but my search is not coming up with any results.

thanks everyone. I finally was able to get to the System Information. Good to know there is no RID on a HDVR2
