OK, I think this is a bit odd and I'm looking for ideas.

On our R10, occasional shows recorded from Cartoon Network will just playback audio with no video. I get the green background screen and can see the show title, progress bar, etc., but no video. If I try to fast forward or skip, it gets confused and appears to hang for a few minutes before responding and returning to normal operation.

I would suspect the HD, but the funny thing is, it's just a few shows and *only* on Cartoon Network. I can watch the channel just fine, it's just the recordings. All other networks record fine from both tuners.

The same shows recorded on our HR10-250 are fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What happens if you watch The Cartoon Network as Live Tv, press Record, let it record for a few minutes, then select that recording from the Now Playing List?

With a bit more experimenting, I am finding that when the channel is acting up, I can't even watch it on LiveTV. I was incorrect earlier when I stated that I could. Apparently I just caught while it was working.

While it is off, it behaves in the same way as the recording, there is audio, but the image is whatever was on before switching to that channel. I played around with other channels and they were fine. I switched both tuners to other channels and they too were fine. It was only Cartoon Network that is misbehaving. And, near as I can tell, I got both tuners to exhibit the same behavior.

Again, this only happens periodically.

I had the same problem with a local channel last week during a pretty heavy cloudburst. picture froze, and just got the audio on playback. I had the chance to check the live feed of what was recording. Eventually the audio changed over to music, and a pop up saying that the local feed was having difficulty, and would be back on as soon as possible message came up.

Maybe Cartoon network's feeds are having problems.

Unfortunately, this has been going on for at least a month and I seem to be the only one with this issue. Of course, DirecTV has been less than helpful... "Reboot, Clear & Delete, and we'll be happy to replace it with a non-Tivo DVR."

Also, being an R10, it's not hacked. So I can't look at any logs or anything.
